The United States has condemned the deadly attack on a Kaduna State community and called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s administration to tackle the persistent violence targeting Christians in Nigeria\u2019s Middle Belt.<\/p>\n

The attack, which occurred recently, claimed the lives of at least 30 people, including children.<\/p>\n

The condemnation was issued by the US State Department\u2019s Bureau of African Affairs, which said Washington would continue engaging the Nigerian government over what it described as widespread violence against Christians in the region.<\/p>\n

In a statement posted on its verified X account on Saturday, the bureau described the incident as tragic and sympathised with the families of those killed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe United States condemns the early morning July 27 attack on a village in Nigeria\u2019s Kaduna State that reportedly killed at least 30 people, including children. We express our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.<\/p>\n

We will continue to urge the Government of Nigeria to address rampant violence against Christians in the Middle Belt,\u201d the bureau said.<\/p>\n

The attack happened when armed men invaded Naridon village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, opening fire on residents before setting houses and shops ablaze.<\/p>\n

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani denounced the killings and instructed security agencies to step up efforts to apprehend those responsible.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He also directed the state emergency management agency to deliver relief materials to families affected by the attack.<\/p>\n
